Tranquil
2021. Degree Project Industrial Design.
The time individuals spend in isolation has increased greatly following the preventive measures taken as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Subsequently, measuring personal time has gradually become of more importance to that of collective time - where it is assessed in coordination to others.
This project attemps to introduce a new way of timekeeping and time perception to the general public. Through water motion and a device that measures and visualises passing time, the final design allows the user to adapt time to their personal needs.

The result is Tranquil. A two piece glassware product that utilises dripping water motion to display the passage of time. The motion lasts accordingly to how much water the user has filled it up with. It is a proposition of a different and stress-free timekeeping method to help us with adjusting to the current period.
